THERE IS NOTHING LIKE A ‘BALANCED CHRISTIAN LIFE’
The bible doesn’t instruct us to HAVE A BALANCED CHRISTIAN LIFE.
We are not under pressure to make ourselves prayerful, then sociable, then good in bed, then political etc.
We are not trying to have balance in our lives, we have lost no wheel, we need no balance.
We are not trying to measure the exactness of activities we are involved in, or restrict spirituality to only a certain place or time.
The bible only instructs us to RECEIVE ETERNAL LIFE in Christ Jesus.
This Life we have received into Our Spirits.
This Life has made US Sons of God.
Romans 8:16 The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God.
The Christian doesn’t have an ACADEMIC LIFE.
He only has ETERNAL LIFE!
What many call ‘BALANCE’ is a very distorted view of Christianity.
Hoping to make a believer BALANCE his life.
Hoping to make a believer add some other lives to the Eternal He has received.
This ideology often become conflicting.
It infers the spiritual life is only relevant in certain perspectives or location.
It infers the believer shows off his or her spirituality at certain seasons and times.
But the bible doesn’t teach this at all.
What we have in the bible is ETERNAL LIFE IN OUR SPIRITS INFLUENCING EVERY ACTIVITY OF OUR PHYSICAL LIVES.
Eternal life influences Our attitude to BUSINESS.
To Academics etc.
It often becomes ambivalent when a believer tries to BALANCE LIFE.
We have eternal life already.
We just live in that CONSCIOUSNESS IN EVERY ACTIVITY WE ENGAGE IN THE EARTH REALM.
You might think this perspective doesn’t change much from the ‘BALANCE’ idea but it’s a world of difference.
A whole world of difference.
We are not trying to merge different realities and effectiveness in the earth realm.
We are not trying to wear our spirituality in church while we become fraudulent in business.
Or spiritual in the choir but lose spirituality at the mall.
We only EXPRESS WHO WE ARE AT ALL TIMES; SONS OF GOD!
Ephesians 5:8 For ye were sometimes darkness, but now are ye light in the Lord: walk as children of light.
