BIRDS OF SAME FEATHERS
It happens in every sphere of life but let me use MINISTRY.
You See, people run in and out of SPIRITUAL ASSOCIATIONS, BUT THE ONES WITH MUTUAL BELIEFS ALWAYS STICK!
Some times we don’t even know why we are attached to a certain man of God.
Many times, there is something in that person that we see in us.
There is a strong ideology in our souls that we find in another, against all sentiments, OUR CORE IDEOLOGIES WILL ALWAYS STICK!
I have noticed the following.
1. There are people in ministry who believe deeply that doctrinal correctness is okay, but MIRACULOUS ACTIVITIES are better.
It doesn’t matter how much those folks fall in love with a man who has DOCTRINAL CORRECTNESS, the love will not last.
They will soon pitch camps with someone who SEEM TO HAVE DOCTRINAL CORRECTNESS, even though very DOCTRINALLY INCORRECT, they will soon settle with that man, and soon begin to perceive the one advocates for doctrinal correctness as A CRITIC, A HATER, AN ANTAGONIST etc.
It’s just them!
They believe DOCTRINAL CORRECTNESS is over rated.
2. There are folks in ministry who have a penchant for MUSIC, CONCERTS, NEW STARS etc.
They dream for their church choir to be like the Grammy.
That’s their definition of ministry excellence, anointing etc.
It doesn’t matter how they meet doctrinal correctness, they will always pitch tent with folks who can help them bring a Super star singer to their church etc.
It’s just them .
They will fund the concert heavily.
They will look for the money.
That’s ministry, to them. It’s sacrifice for the kingdom etc.
3. There are those who believe IN DOCTRINAL DIVERGENCE, DOCTRINAL FLAVOURS.
They believe there is something wrong if we all TEACH SAME DOCTRINE.
They believe God has many things to say and He couldn’t say those things in the bible.
They believe in a continuum doctrine.
Those people, you will always find them with new doctrines.
You will often discover they don’t like to ‘discriminate’ doctrinally, they are for everybody and nobody
They just want all the flavours.
I have made friends in ministry who turned enemies.
I have had enemies who turned friends.
I have had both.
But one thing I can say with 100% assurance in ministry.
WE FOLLOW WHO WE ARE, LIVING IN SOMEONE ELSE.
Hopefully, I pray we are not fools looking for FOOLISHNESS TO LIVE WITH.
